Our lovely couple Edel & José came all the way from Spain, to celebrate their Wedding here in Edel’s hometown – which happens to be our new home too 🙂 When Edel asked us to be part of her & Josè’s big day, we happily said yes. Being literally only a stone-throw away from her family home and our local parish, we knew our way around and were thrilled to film at “The Stables” here in Ballymahon too.
The groom and his family were so happy and in good spirits in the morning of the Wedding, it was contagious. Edel, José and their families prepared a lot for their Wedding themselves, putting their own stamp on it and a family friend (and florist by trade back home in Spain) created all the fab flower arrangements. They were simply amazing! And spot the little favors for their guests: little jars with honey, because Edel & José are “meant to bee”… what a sweet idea!
Edel looked absolutely stunning in her dress and together with the original vintage car, she made quite the entrance. What a stylish, happy and absolutely glowing bride. The Ceremony was lighthearted & a happy occasion, which is also thanks to Fr. Healy, who did help our couple on their way and was great fun to be around. The idea of having black & white photographs of family members on the the aisle, who have gone before us and cannot be with our couple on their special day anymore, is fantastic and such a nice touch.
After the Ceremony everybody could cool themselves off with a “99er”, before we were heading off to The Stables for some quick refreshments and then to the photo-shoot in the Newcastle forest. Together with Amy from Rubistyle Photography we got some great shots in the forest and later also indoors, before the festivities got into full swing.
Ending the night were the Anchormen and Kate Connolly, who already sang beautifully during the Ceremony, got back on stage for some “Tina Turner action”.
Edel & José, thank you very much for letting us be a part of your fab Wedding day. We were amazed by all the details you had prepared for your big day and are wishing you both only the very best for your future as husband & wife. Muchas Felicitaciones y mucha suerte!
